White Chocolate Brownies

1/3 cup white chocolate chips 1 stick unsalted butter 2 eggs 1 cup sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 cup flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup chopped almonds (optional)
Preheat oven to 325.
Melt white chocolate and butter in double boiler stirring constantly until smooth. Cool 3 minutes. Beat in eggs, sugar and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and almonds.
With a rubber spatula, scrape batter into a greased and floured 8x8 pan. Bake for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool before cutting into squares. Makes 8 large brownies.
