Date Nut Bars Servings: 16
1/4 c butter 1/2 c sugar 1 t vanilla 2 eggs, separated 1/2 c flour 1/2 t baking powder 1/4 t salt 1 1/2 c chopped dates 3/4 c chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 275-300 degrees. Grease a 6x10 inch pan. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add egg yolks. Add flour, baking powder, salt, dates, and nuts. Add beaten egg whites. Pour into pan and bake 45 minutes.
