Beat eggs and add sugar. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder and add to first mixture. Add fruit, flavoring, nuts and coconut. Pour over pastry. Bake in slow oven 300 F. for 20 minutes. However, it was missing a few ingredients and the cooking time was in question. I have located another Dream Cake recipe which I would like to share. Cake: 1/2 cup butter 1 cup flour 2 TBSP brown sugar Mix butter, flour and brown sugar. Pat in bottom of 8-inch square pan, ungreased. Bake in a 375 F oven for 10 minutes. Filling: 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup shredded coconut 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1 tsp. vanilla 3 tsp. flour 1 cup chopped glazed cherries 1/2 tsp. baking powder Beat eggs. Add sugar, flour, baking powder, and rest of the ingredients. Spread over base. Bake in a 375 F degree oven for 20 minutes. When cool, ice if desired. Butter Icing: 1 to 1-1/2 cup icing sugar 1/3 cup butter 1 TBSP. cream 1 tsp. vanilla Cream butter, add sugar, cream and vanilla, until of spreading consistency.
