Nanimo Bars

185g butter,chopped
100g dark chocolate
1 egg lightly beaten
2 cups (250g) wheatmeal biscuit crumbs
1 cup coconut
2/3 cup finely chopped pecan nuts

60g butter
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 cups icing sugar
2 tbps icing sugar
2 tablespoons custard powder
1/4 cup milk

30g dark chocolate, chopped
15g butter

Grease a 19cmx29cm lamington pan. Melt butter and chocolate over
hot water. Remove from heat,cool 5 minutes; stir in egg. Combine
bisciuts, coconut and pecans in bowl, stir in butter mixture. Press
mixture firmly over base of prepared pan. Spread evenly with filling.
Refrigerate until firm. Drizzle slice with topping. Refrigerate
until set before cutting.

Cream butter and essence in small bowl with electric mixer, gradually
beat in sifted icing sugar and custard powder, then milk.

For topping, melt chocolate and butter over hot water, cool slightly.
