Pumpkin Pie Squares

1 cup sifted flour
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup butter, softened

1 pound can pumpkin (2 cups)
12 oz can evaporated milk
2 eggs
3/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspon ground ginger
1/2 teaspon ground cloves

1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 Tablespoons butter, softened

Combine flour, oats, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup butter in
mixing bowl. Mix until crumbly, using mixer on low speed or a
pastry blender. Press into ungreased 13 x 9" pan. Bake at 350
for 15-20 mintues.

Combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, ginger and cloves.
Beat well. Pour into hot crust. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.

Combine pecans, sugar and butter. Sprinkle over hot filling.
Return to oven and bake 15-20 minutes or until filling is set.
Cool in pan. Cut into 2" squares. Serve with whipped cream or
ice cream. Makes 2 dozen squares.
