Brownies
4 oz unsweetened chocolate for baking 8 oz unsalted butter 2 cups granulated sugar 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp almond extract 1/2 tsp salt 4 eggs 1 cup nuts 1 1/3 cups (6 oz, 170g) cake flour 1 tsp baking powder
Combine ingredients in order given. Pour and spread batter in a 9x13" pan lined with baking parchment and bake for 35 minutes on the center rack in a preheated 350 deg oven. Don't overbake them. Cool on a rack (after about 10 minutes out of the oven, I slide the brownies out of the pan to finish cooling directly on the rack).
