Crockpot Applesauce

apples, peeled, seeded and cut in chunks
12 oz can ginger ale or lemon-lime soda
cinnamon, optional

Use enough apples to fill crockpot 3 1/2 - 6 quarts in size.

Simply put the apple chunks in the crockpot, pour on one can of
soda, and if you like, add cinnamon. Cook on low all day. Enjoy
warm or cold; freezes wonderfully! We prefer ours non-sweetened,
but of course if you prefer a sweeter sauce, add brown sugar to
taste.

Doesn't matter how many apples are in the crockpot - still only
add one can of soda (pop) as in the crockpot juices don't escape.
