Bean Dip

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 15-oz cans pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
pinch or more of cayenne (to taste)
2.25 oz can sliced ripe olives, drained
1 1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese

In skillet, cook the beef with the onion over med-high heat, stirring
til browned. Drain off any fat.

Put in 3.5 qt crockpot. Add the beans, mashing up to half of them
with a fork or masher. Stir in ketchup, chili powder, cumin, garlic
powder, cayenne and olives til well mixed.

Cover and cook on HIGH setting approx 1-1/2 hours or on LOW for 3
hrs.

Stir in 1 cup of the cheese mixing well. Top with the remaining
1/2 c. of cheese. Serve immediately with tortilla chips and/or
raw veggies.
