Pepper and Provolone Italian Beef Sandwhiches

6 lb rump roast
2 pkgs Au Jus Gravy Mix
2 pkgs Italian Dressing Mix
2 cans beef broth
1 green pepper sliced
1 onion quartered

Put all ingredients in a crock pot, cook on high for 5 hours.
Serve it sliced on sub buns with the onions and peppers and a slice
of provolone cheese.

This Italian beef is incredibly easy and so good! I bought a three pound roast, so of course I used only one of each packaged item and one can of broth. I also had run out of green pepper and substituted about 6-7 mild Jalapeno slices. I didn't want to get up at 2:00 a.m., so to time things right, I set the slow cooker on 10 hours and it cooked all night. DELICIOUS! Thank you for a great recipe!

I love sandwiches like this and have nver found the right taste for the au jus. This easy recipe had a remarkable flavor.Will do again. My husband is not big on this type meal but he went back again the next few days to have more.
