Mixed Bean Stew

Tonight I made something in the crockpot that actually turned out fairly tasty. Decent for (mostly) making it up as I went along, at least.
Put in about 1/2 cup each of dried split peas, lentils and pinto beans. Added about half a can of chickpeas and half a can of canned tomatoes. About half an onion chopped. Couple cloves of garlic chopped. Some chili powder and cumin (didn't measure) and summer savory. No salt. About 2 cups or so of water.
Let that go till it looked mostly done, then I threw together some dumplings. About 3/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup cornmeal, tablespoon sugar. 1 teaspoon baking powder, an egg, about 2 tablespoons oil, about 1/4 cup milk? Dropped those on top, let them go 45 minutes.
Wasn't bad.
