2 l (1.76 quarts) buttermilk 3 egg yolks 3 tbsp. sugar juice of 1/2 lemon seeds of a vanilla bean
Whip egg yolks and sugar until the color changes.
Add milk, lemon slices and vanilla.
Chill for several hours before serving.
