The Knickerbocker kick
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin 1/2 cup cold water 1 cup boiling water 3/4 cup sugar 1 2/3 cups Marsala or sherry 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice In a large heatproof bowl, sprinkle gelatin in cold water. Let stand till soft 5 minutes. Add boiling water and sugar. Stir till dissolved. Stir in Marsala and lemon juice. Let cool to room temp. Chill till firm, 4 hours.
Scramble gelatin with dinner fork and spoon into wineglasses. Top with favorite fruit and cool whip.
