1 banana
3 scoops ice cream
walnuts packed in a syrup (in a jar)
whipped cream
chocolate syrup
sprinkles.
1 - 3 red maraschino cherries
You need some type of long individual boat-type of dish for a nice
presentation. Peel the banana and slice it lengthwise so you have
two LONG halves. Lay the halves, flat side up, in the dish. I use
put on three scoops of ice cream. Choose your own flavors but
vanilla tends to be traditional. A vanilla and strawberry blend
also works well. You also need "wet nuts". These are walnuts packed
in a syrup (in a jar). They're sold in supermarkets with the cones,
sprinkles and other ice cream fixings. Put a few spoonsful of nuts
over the ice cream. Layer on the whipped cream. I use three mounds
of whipped cream, one on top of each scoop of ice cream. You can
also drizzle some chocolate syrup gently over the whipped cream as
well as sprinkles. Top with one (or 3) red maraschino cherries.
