Fresh Lime Ice Cream

1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (3 to 4 limes)
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
2 cups sugar, preferably superfine
pinch salt
2 cups heavy cream
2 cups milk

Combine lime juice, lime zest, sugar and salt. Mix well. Gradually
stir in the cream and then the milk. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Cover and refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight. Stir
mixture and pour into ice cream maker.
