Strawberry Sorbet

4 cups coarsely chopped strawberries (1 1/2 pounds)
1 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup lemon juice
3/4 cup basic sugar syrup

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 4 minutes stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and let cool. Pour cooled mixture into an 8"
square pan, cover and freeze for 8 hours or until firm. Remove
mixture from freezer and break into chunks. Position knife blade
in food processor bowl; add chunks and process until smooth. Place
in container and cover. Freezes for up to one month.

1/2 cup serving = 132 Calories / 3% Fat


Basic Sugar Syrup

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water

Combine well in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook 1
minute, stirring constantly.
