Tangerine Sorbet

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water

1 cup freshly squeezed tangerine juice
juice of half a lemon (about 1 tablespoon)
grated peel of 1 1/2 tangerines (about 1 teaspoon)
1/4 cup Grand Marnier or other orange or tangerine liqueur
1 cup muscat wine

Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a slow
boil, stirring frequently. Combine the syrup with all other
ingredients in a bowl, and stir thoroughly.

Finish in an ice cream maker.
