Chocolate Pudding

1 oz unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c sugar
2 c milk
3 T cornstarch
1 T vanilla

Gently melt the chocolate in a heavy saucepan over low heat.
Dissolve the cornstarch in 1/4 cup of the milk and set aside. Add
the rest of the milk and the sugar to the melted chocolate, then
heat until almost boiling. Slowly stir the cornstarch mixture into
the hot mixture. Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes. Stir
to cool the pudding, then add the vanilla.
