GRAPENUT CUSTARD

1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp flour
6 Tbsp Grapenuts
2 Tbsp melted butter
3 eggs
2 cups milk

In bowl, mix sugar, flour, and grapenuts together. Stir in butter
then eggs, one at a time. Slowly stir in milk; Mix well. Pour
into well buttered or sprayed 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Bake at
375*F. for 1 hour. Check by inserting clean knife into center.
Knife should come out clean and top should be golden brown.

I remember Grapenut Pudding from my aunts and grandmother. I have wanted the recipe since I lost it many years ago. I found several on this web site and decided to try them. The first one I've tried is #5. It is delicious and no work at all. Super easy. The only thing I would perhaps reccommend is the amount of sugar. It is quite sweet, but I like it that way. Some cooks may want to lessen the 1 cup of sugar called for in the recipe.
