Plum Pudding

2 c chopped suet
3 c currents
2 c dates
1/4 lb candied orange peel
4 tablespoons molasses
1/2 c bread crumbs
2 t cinnamon
3 c rainsins
2 cups walnuts, chopped
2 c sugar
1 c sour milk
1 c flour
1 t salt
2 t mashed cloves
1/2 c candiedcherries
1/2 c candied pineapple
1 c sherry
1/4 lb candied lemon peel
2 t baking powder
4 eggs

Chop fruit and nuts. Combine suet with mixture. Mix baking powder,
spices, sugar and salt. Beat eggs well. Mix with molasses and
sour milk. Combine everything. Pour into buttered and floured
bowl 3/4 full. Be sure mould cover fits well. Steam 8 hours.
Serve with brandy butter.
