Swedish Rice Pudding "Risgrynsgrvt"

1 1/2 deciliters rice
3 deciliters water
1/2 teaspoon salt
7 deciliters milk
2 sticks cinnamon
sugar

Bring water, salt and rice to a boil. Cook on low heat until the
water almost has disappeared (about 10 minutes). Add milk, cinnamon
sticks and stir. Bring to a boil. Cook on low heat for about 30
to 40 minutes. Add sugar. Serve warm with cold milk.

Variation:

Ris a la Malta: After the rice pudding has cooled down completely,
add 2 large oranges, peeled and chopped and 2 deciliters sweetened
whipped cream and stir.
