Rice Pudding

4 oz short grain rice
1 pint milk
2 oz butter
3 oz sugar
Tin evaporated milk

Put rice and milk into saucepan and cook very gently till rice is
soft. Add evaporated milk, butter and sugar and mix well. Turn into
baking dish. grate nutmeg over the top if liked and bake in the
oven oven 150 c till nicely brown.

Notes: I sometimes add dried fruit along with the sugar and butter
or sometimes beat eggs in.
