Spotted Dick
300 g plain flour
10g baking powder
150g shredded suet
75 g castor sugar
100g currants
zest of a lemon
about 150 ml milk
Mix together all the dry ingred, Add enough milk to bind everything
ot a dropping consistency. Roll into a sausage shape about 6 inches
long. Wrap loosely in buttered greaseproof paper and steam for
about an hour. Serve hot with fresh custard or ice-cream.
