Bagna Calda

1 1/2 cups peeled garlic cloves
1 1/2 cups extra virgin olive oil
2 oz. butter
1 can (2 oz) anchovies

Place all ingredients inoven caserole, cover and place in 275 degree
oven for 1 1/2 hours.

Serve with bread and cut up veggies.

This is a receipe that has been in my family for generations! While this receipe calls for this to be baked, it can also be done with a highly seasoned black cast iron skillet on the stove or camp fire. As a child I can remember the pungent aroma of this wonderful dish being prepared, and then lingering around for days to come. We made this camping one year, and drew out half the campground with the wonderful smell of heaven. Your friends will smell you coming, you house will smell like stinking roses for a week. Eat this with friends...Enjoy!
