Gin is the key, September 24, 2005 - 05:15 PM

I used gin, and though the drink was sweet (it's a cordial, after all) it was great. Good on ice cream as well. The choke cherry is a native cough suppressant, and the choke cherry cordial worked very well for that.

Needs a little ageing, December 22, 2004 - 05:23 PM

It *did* taste too sweet at first (like cough syrup). Even after the recommended 6 months, it was still too sweet. I let it sit around for another 9 months, and then it tasted much better.

I'd give it 5 stars for "appearance." It's a beautiful clear, dark purple.
