Iced Tea Syrup
10 cups water
25 small tea bags
7 cups sugar or sugar substitute.
Bring water to boil. Remove from heat. Add the tea bags. Let steep for 15 minutes or longer. Remove bags, squeezing out water. Return to heat, add sugar. Bring to a boil and remove from heat, let cool. Store in fridge. Keeps at least 2 weeks.
For each 1/2 gal. of tea use 1 cup of syrup.
NOTES: I used green tea and only 2 cups of SplendaŽ and it was plenty sweet enough. Works great with regular or green tea.
If you use large tea bags take into consideration how much to use.

I couldn't believe this recipe. My mother used to make this back in the 50's and 60's. Really handy to have in the fridge. Takes up much less space than a big pitcher and stays fresher longer. We love it !!!
