Margarita Milk Shake

key lime ice cream (see below for recipe)
Tequila of choice
Triple sec
Fresh limes
Sugar (optional)
Kosher Salt (optional)

For 1 16 oz margarita - adjust for desired volume

place in blender:

7 oz key lime ice cream
7 oz milk
1 1/4 oz tequila
3/4 oz triple sec
Fresh lime juice and sugar to taste

Blend until combined thoroughly.

You can put the blended mixture in your ice cream maker to create
a really thick milk shake or even to the consistancy of ice cream
(then you have margarita ice cream).

Optionally wet edge of glass and dip in salt to line rim of glass
with salt as with traditional margarita.

Key Lime Ice Cream

3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon grated lime peel
1 cup milk
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup Key Lime juice
2-3 drops green food coloring

Combine sugar and eggs and mix thoroughly. Add peel and milk.
Thicken slightly over medium heat and remove from stove. Add
marshmallows and stir until melted. Cool. Add juice and whipping
cream to the cooled mixture. Add food coloring as desired. Crank
up the ice cream machine.
