Homemade Rootbeer
1 tsp. dry yeast 1 cup lukewarm water 2 cups granulated sugar 5 tsp. root beer extract more lukewarm water 6-10 dried raisins
Dissolve yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water, let stand 5 minutes. Combine sugar and extract. Add the yeast to the sugar mixture. Pour into a gallon jug, then fill with lukewarm water, stopping about 1 inch from the top of the jug. Add the dried raisins for flavor. Cover the jug and set it in the sun for 3 hours. Refrigerate overnight then drink the next day, Makes 1 gallon (I think I would strain the raisins out before drinking).
