Thai Iced Tea (Char Yen)
2 quarts water
1.5 cups thai tea (Cha Thai)
1 cup sugar
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
half & half
Bring water to a boil in a 4 to 5 quart saucepan (or other large
container), over high heat. Add the tea, reduce heat, and simmer
for 10 minutes. Strain tea through cheesecloth, add sugar and
condensed milk, stir to blend. Set aside to cool.
Fill 12 ounce glass with crushed or shaved ice, add 1 cup of tea
mixture, float 2 tablespoons of Half & Half on top.
