Dumplings

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbsp salad oil

Sift flour, add salt, baking powder; stir in milk, salad oil. Drop
dumplings from spoon into boiling liquid. cover and boil 12 to 15
minutes. Do not lift cover until done.

This is the recipe I have used for a long time. I lost it and now have found it again. I like it because you can use oil instead of saturated fat. I add a little poultry seasoning too. Be sure to make the dumplings small.

These dumplings were realy good. I was making chicken and dumplings so I added a teaspoon of chicken soup base to the flour and it turned out really great. Try other flavors of soup base the all enhance the taste of the recipe. Vicky from Ontario.
