Potato Dumplings

4 cups flour
1 cup mashed potatoes
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste
brown gravy

In a large bowl mix the mashed potatoes and egg, slowly adding 1
cup of flour at a time until it forms a dough. Spread some extra
flour over working area and roll out sections of the dough. Cut
sections into about 1 inch and roll into a ball. Poke your finger
in the center, but not all the way through. Do this until all the
dumplings are made. Cook the dumplings until they all float, then
about 5 more minutes (might want to test one before taking out).
Once done, drain and pour brown gravy over.

Variation: Add some cooked chicken slices and onions to the gravy.
