Buttermilk
3 cup water at room temperature 1 1/3 cup dry powdered milk
1/2 c. commercial buttermilk dash of salt
Pour water into quart jar. Add powdered milk. Stir until dissolved. Add buttermilk and salt.
Stir until blended. Let stand at room temp. until thickened. Stir just until blended. Refrigerate. Stir before using. Save 1/2 c. buttermilk to use as base for next batch.
Regular milk can be substituted but I like the skim for health reasons.

Why buy when you can make your own and keep some on hand for biscuits or pancakes.... It's super easy and the buttermilk tastes as good as the start.
So, be sure and use buttermilk that you like the flavor of.
excellent and easy -- go for it!!
