Strawberries in May Wine
3 pints fresh strawberries
1 cup May wine or dry Rhine wine
juice of 1 medium orange (1/3 cup orange juice)
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
Combine wine, orange juice, sugar, and almond extract. Pour over
prepared strawberries. Marinate a minimum of 1 hour. Serve berries
with marinade and flavored whipped cream.
