BREZELI NACH HAUSMACHERART (Homemade Brezeli)

125 g Butter
125 g Margarine
1000 ml Milch
4 Eier
500 g Zucker
1 Vanillezucker
1 Kaffeelo"ffel Natron
750 g Mehl

9 Tbsp butter
3/4 cup margerine
4 1/4 cups milk
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups sugar
vanilla
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
5 3/4 cups flour

Die Milch kochen, u"ber die Butter und den Zucker giessen. Nach
dem Erkalten die Eier und die u"brigen Zutaten beigeben, dann das
gesiebte Mehl darunterziehen. Alles zu einem dickflu"ssigen Teig
verarbeiten und 1 Stunde ruhen lassen. Den Teig mit einem Lo"ffel
auf die Ornamente geben.

Boil milk and pour over sugar and butter. Let mixture cool then
add eggs and other ingredients. Work in the sifted flour. Work
into a thick liquid dough and let rest 1 hour. Put dough on iron
with a teaspoon.
