Soft Pretzels

3 pkg. yeast
3 3/4 cup warm water
3 pinches sugar
6 tsp. salt
12-15 cups flour

Combine all ingredients. Knead 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl
and let rise until it doubles. Make ropes 18 inches long and twist
into pretzel shape.

Boil 4 cups water to which 4 tsp. baking soda has been added. Drop
3 pretzels in and boil 1 minute or until they float. Remove, drain,
and place on cookie sheet. Sprinkle with coarse salt.

Bake at 475 degrees for 12 minutes.
