Reviewer: Sherry Silveira from Grants Pass, OR USA My father was born in Germany and this recipe was passed down to us. When preparing it for company, my parents found that Canadians/Americans don't care for the pickle in it. They started to leave that ingredient out. Cooking this in a crock pot or pressure cooker makes the meat so much more tender. The delicious gravy was served with boiled potatoes. Was this review helpful to you? Reviewer: Lee Tanner from Sierra Vista, Az. I am a retired soldier who had spent about half of my career in Germany. My new wife had picked up what she thought was small top rounds. When I saw what she had bought I thought about how much I loved these when my then mother in law made them. I decided to look up a recipe and found this one. I love to cook and I am better at than most people. This was a very easy recipe I saw and I had them made and on the table with tasty gravy within thrity minutes.
