FLADLE (Pancake-type noodles for soup)
9 level tablespoons flour 2 eggs 1/2 stick melted unsalted butter salt pepper dash nutmeg 5 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon oil 1 tablespoon butter
In a skillet heat the tablespoon oil and butter.
In a bowl whisk together flour, eggs, melted butter, milk and seasoning. Ladle portions of the batter into the skillet and fry golden-yellow (some brown specks are normal) on both sides. Let the pancakes dry on paper towel. Then roll each pancake up and slice them into 1/8 inch thick strips and heat them in the same broth that you serve the liver dumplings in.

I enjoyed making the Fladle and using them as noodles...what a delicious idea..I would really like to know how to make a tasty homemade beef broth..Step by step...I had fladle soup in a German resturaunt once and the broth was fabulous.
