German Red Wine Cookies

3 3/4 c (500 g) flour
1 c plus 1 tbs. (250 g) butter
1 c plus 3 tbs. (250 g) sugar
2 tbs. ground cinnamon (16 g)
8 to 9 tbs. red wine

Cream butter and sugar, add cinnamon and red wine, at last add the
flour and kneed all well together. Let the dough rest for 1 hour
in the fridge. Roll out the dough rather thin and cut out with
cutters of various shapes. (Here in Germany we use cutters like
hearts, stars, all kind of animals and of course round ones too).
Line sheets with baking paper and bake the cookies at 325 F for
about 12 - 15 minutes.
