4 medium onions, chopped
2 eggs, beaten
1 C sour cream
1 oz flour
3 or 4 drops liquid smoke
salt and pepper to taste

In a little oil, saute the onions until they are transparent and

Being a vegetarian and originally German, too, I thought I'd offer
this variation of a traditional recipe from my Oma. She would have
used bacon, I use a few drops of liquid smoke.
