Garam Masala

5 3-inch sticks cinnamon sticks
1 cup cardamom pods
1/2 cup cumin seeds
1/2 cup black pepper
1/2 cup cloves
1/2 cup coriander seeds
1/4 cup coconut - grated (opt.)

Dry the ingredients in an oven. Do not let them turn brown. Remove
the seeds from the cardamom pods. Pound cinnamon stick into smaller
size. Combine ingredients until they are well mixed and blend at
high speed for 2 or 3 mins. till completely pulverized
