Rasam

2 tomatoes
1/4 tsp. haldi
1 1/2 tsp. tamcon
3/4 cup toor daal
1 tsp. ghee
1 tsp. mustard seeds
bunch coriander leaves

Boil tamcon in water.

Boil toor daal in water.

Cut tomatoes, add to tamcon solution. Add hing and salt.
Boil for a couple of minutes.

Add mashed toor daal and rasam masala.

In a pan, heat ghee, fry mustard seeds.

Add fresh coriander leaves and mustard seeds.



Rasam Masala

1 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp chana daal seeds
2 tbsp coriander seeds
4-5 red chillies
1 tsp L.G.
3 tbsp coconut (grated)
2 tbsp ghee

Roast black pepper, chana daal, coriander, and hing.

Add chillies when daal starts getting red.

If using dry coconut, soak it in a little water. Blend the daal
mixture and coconut until the paste is fine. Keep aside.
