Braised Lamb Shanks

Brown well two to four lamb shanks.

Saute a mirepoix of diced

2 celery stalks
2 carrots
2 onions

Add

1 c red wine
2 T Balsamic vinegar
Cook until reduced

Add shanks and

4 c beef broth

Season with

salt
pepper
rosemary
sage

Cook 1 1/2 hours in 350-degree oven.

Easy to fix and fall off the bone tender. I used balsamic vinegar.
