Atole 8 servings
1-1/4 cups/170g masa harina 6 cups/1.5 L water 2 cups/225g strawberries, washed and hulled 3/4 cup/l4Og brown sugar
Dissolve the masa harina in 4 cups of the water. Let stand for 15 minutes. Strain. Puree the strawberries with 2 cups of water and the sugar. Drain. Combine both mixtures in a large saucepan and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Serve piping hot.
