Pasta with Vodka-Herb Sauce

2 tbsp butter
1 onion thinly sliced
1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme or 1 tsp. dried
1 tbsp chopped fresh tarragon or 1 tsp. dried
1 tbsp chopped fresh basil or 1 tsp dried
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup vodka
3/4 lb spaghetti or linguine
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

While pasta is cooking on top of stove add butter and onion to a
two quart microwave safe container. Microwave at 100 per cent for
about 5 min. or until onion is tender, stirring once.

Add herbs and microwave at 100 percent for one min.

Add whipping cream and vodka, and microwave at 100 percent for
about 3 min, or until it starts to boil. Stir and microwave at 70
percent for five minutes stirring once. Toss with pasta and cheese
till sauce coats pasta. Season with salt and pepper. Serves four.
