Place a few of drops of water in a glass custard cup. Carefully
crack egg into cup. Sprinkle with salt. Prick yolk with toothpick to
prevent exploding. Place cup in center of microwave oven. Cook
uncovered at 50% power for about one and a half minutes or until
desired doneness is reached. Let sit for a minute before unmolding
with a rubber spatula

Note: It's easier to cook them one at a time in order to control
doneness.

Great eggs!, March 12, 2007 - 07:17 AM

I have done poached eggs in the microwave before, but didn't remember specifics. I was happy to find this recipe to refresh my memory. They came out fine. I don't know what the other person who reviewed this was talking about. I would think the only thing you could do to make them not fit to eat would be to cook them too long or not long enough. :)
