Scottish Tablet

1 pound sugar
2 ounces of butter (cut up)
6 ounces evaporated milk

Mix all together well. Cook on high for 12 minutes - stirring down
every time it boils up. Beat well and pour into small greaseproof
paper lined pan to set. Cut when cool.

Having followed the recipe as indicated tasters recommended that cooking temperature is not on high for 12 minutes but reduced once boiling.

I have this recipe from another source which said to cook on high for 4 minutes, then stir....then cook another 4 minutes and stir, and finally cook for 4 minutes. Then beat well and put into dish to cool.
