TOFFEE BARS
Yield: 6 servings
1/2 c butter
1/4 ts salt
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c chocolate chips
1 egg yolk
1 c flour
1/4 c nuts, chopped
1/2 ts vanilla
Cream butter and brown sugar. Add egg yolk, flour, vanilla and
salt. Spread in 8x8 glass baking dish. Microwave at 50% power for
7 to 8 minutes.
Give 1/2 turn twice during cooking. Sprinkle chocolate chips over
top. Let chips soften for 2 minutes. Spread with knife over bars.
Sprinkle with nuts. Cut into bars.
