Lubee (Lebanese Dish)

2 lbs. green beans
1 lb. lamb, cubed
1 medium onion
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 cup water
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Brown meat with onions in melted butter and add spices. String
and cut green beans. Wash and drain. combine beans with meat.
cover and steam for 15 minutes. Add tomatoes and water and cook
over low heat approximately 1 hour. Serve over rice.

I first learnt about lubee while visiting a friend in Lebanon and I wanted to make it. Well,upon making it, I found lubee to be a surprisingly easy dish to prepare, the only part I found not easy was the cutting and stringing of the beans. That was only because it was time consuming though :) I thought this recipe tasted excellent and looked even tastier. My family all loved this dish and I would definitely make it again!!!!!
