Nar Khoshabi (Pomegranate Khoshab)

3 or 4 pomegranates
4 ounces loaf sugar

Cut open three or four pomegranates, take the grains out. Pick up
the large ones, put the small ones in a cloth, and squeeze all the
juice from them into a saucepan. Add four ounces of loaf sugar,
with the same quantity of water as the juice, and stir on a slow
fire until it becomes thickish. Remove from heat. When cold, pour
in a glass bowl, and mix it with water to form a nice sherbet.
Add the large grains of pomegranate and a few pieces of ice and
serve.
