Once the pot is on the boil place the steamer rack on the top of the pot. Put the ribs in the steamer rack and cover the pot. Let them steam for 15-20 minutes, turning once.
While the ribs are steaming you can prepare your favorite BBQ sauce or just buy the type you like.
After the ribs come out of the steamer pot they will be pretty juicy and permeated with garlic.
Put them in a big plastic bowl and slather them with the BBQ. sauce. Snap the lid down on them give them a good shake, and refrigerate overnight.
The next day, get out those ribs and put the ribs on the grill. Be sure to coat them again with BBQ sauce. Because you steamed them they don't take long to cook. All you are doing is browning them. Remember that most BBQ sauces are sugar based, so don't grill them to long or you will burn the sauce.
