Oysters on the Half-Shell, The Country Way

as many oysters as you can fit on the rack of the grill
a burlap sack
a bucket of water
a few fresh lemons

Place unopened oysters on the rack of your grill. Dunk the burlap
sack into the bucket of water and then cover the oysters with it.
This creates a steaming ef fect. When the oysters start to crack
open, they are done. Remove from grill, but be careful because
they will be hot. Open the oysters and leave them on the half-shell.
Cut the lemons into eighths and squeeze one piece onto each of the
oysters. Serve immediately. This is the country way to steam
oysters without a steamer.

Cooked some on the griil last night. I used a wet towel instead of a burlap sack (didn't have one) and kept it wet using a spray bottle filled with water. They were great. Problem was I should have purchased more!!
